they are unique enough to surprise artists such as Goethe, Stendhal and Byron. It's difficult to say which is the most beautiful town among
Assisi, Perugia, Spello, Gubbio or Spoleto: what is certain is that no one will be disappointed by the charm of these villages magnificently suspended in time and immersed in nature.

1 Day: Perugia
In the morning departure from the chosen location. Meeting with the guide and departure by Gran Turismo coach towards Umbria and Perugia, the regional capital, a city of art and history, located in a splendid position between the Tiber Valley and Lake Trasimeno. Free lunch. Rise by minimetro to the fortress, the heart of the historic centre, enclosed by Etruscan and medieval walls. Guided tour of the city: the Palazzo dei Priori, now home to the Town Hall and the Umbrian National Gallery, the Fontana Maggiore, symbol of the city and a wonderful example of sculpture, created by the brothers Nicola and Giovanni Pisano in 1280, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, dating back in the mid-14th century. Visit to the Nobile Collegio del Cambio, ancient seat of bankers and money changers, a true treasure chest. In the Audience Hall there is a cycle of frescoes by Pietro Perugino, a masterpiece of the artist at the height of his career at the end of the fifteenth century. At the end of the visit, free time in the city center. We suggest a stop in one of the historic pastry shops of Perugia to taste one of the chocolate specialties or a visit to the Umbrian National Gallery inside the Palazzo dei Priori. Hotel accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay.
2 Day: Assisi
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure for Assisi, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site because "it houses a set of masterpieces of human creative genius". Each stone speaks of its most illustrious citizen, Saint Francis, Patron Saint of Italy. The visit, between art and spirituality, begins from the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli which houses the "Porziuncola", the place where Saint Francis died: left abandoned for a long time, it was restored by Francis himself upon his return to Assisi at the end of 1207. Continue to the center where you will admire the Basilica of San Francesco with the tomb of the Saint and the splendid frescoes by Giotto and his School. Walking along the alleys you reach the Church of S. Chiara with the relics of the Saint and the wooden crucifix which, according to tradition, spoke to Saint Francis. Free lunch. In the afternoon, time available and the possibility of taking part in an excursion (optional and as a supplement) to San Damiano and the Hermitage of the Carceri, places of extraordinary beauty, where Saint Francis and his friars retreated in prayer and meditation. Dinner in a farmhouse to enjoy the flavors of Umbrian cuisine. Overnight stay.
3 Day:
Spello-Spoleto-Todi
Breakfast at the hotel. The day is dedicated to visiting some of the most beautiful cities in Umbria. First visit to Spello, an ancient medieval village on the slopes of Mount Subasio, among the most beautiful in Italy. Visit to the Baglioni Chapel inside the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, famous for a cycle of frescoes by Pinturicchio dating back to 1500 and the Deruta ceramic floors.
Continuation to Spoleto. Guided tour of the town: the Roman Theatre, Palazzo Mauri, the Church of Sant'Ansano and the Arch of Druso. Free lunch. In the afternoon we reach the Marmore Waterfall*, an incredibly evocative natural spectacle, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Praised over the centuries for its beauty, it appears like a roaring column of water distributed over three drops of over 165 meters in height (only for the departure on November 2nd). Walk along one of the park's paths. In the evening return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
From November 2023 to March 2024 the visit to the Marmore Falls will be replaced by the visit to Todi, a town with a medieval appearance, surrounded by mighty walls. You will admire the central Piazza del Popolo, surrounded by imposing buildings such as the Cathedral, the Palazzo del Popolo, the Palazzo del Capitano and the Palazzo dei Priori.
6 Day: Perugia-Gubbio
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the direction of Gubbio, one of the oldest towns in Umbria, on the slopes of Mount Ingino.
